Reaction Injection Molding Polyurethane parts for machinery parts
Introduction of Reaction Injection Molding
RIM is the result of a reaction between two liquid components isocyanate and polyol as they
are injected into a closed mould at low pressure.
The two components are mixed together as they flow into the mould as a low viscosity
liquid and the reaction, which increases the temperature and the pressure
at the surface of the tool, forms the polyurethane part in the tool cavity.
Polyurethane resins for RIM have grown into a broad range of formulations with particular physical
properties for specific performance requirements.
Rapid types can produce virtually anything from flexible elastomer , to foamcore parts to
extremely rigid, solid and thin-walled Polyurethane components.
Parts can be supplied primed, painted or surface treated with graphics to simulate various
textures such as carbon fibre.
Values not absolute some may be altered.
Brief Introduction of Xingang Company
Our 15 years of experience in polyurethane molding allow us to manufacture from simple to
very complex custom parts. We are expert in designing and producing Low density flexible
molding PUR foam.
Our specialized equipment and unique manufacturing processes are also the key of our success.
Since we only produce custom parts, color, hardness and configuration are your own choice,
and at the limits of your imagination.
Reaction Injection Moulding (RIM) can provide very large parts such as automotive bumpers,
and enclosures for medical equipment for instance
Low-cost tooling for large parts
Short lead-times for large components
Low volume production components
Low capital investment.
Short or long runs
Minimum set up
Cosmetic surface finishing
Rigid foam buoyant water proof materials
Soft foam materials
High impact PP like elastomer
Encapsulation and over-moulding
Hollow components low weight
